About the Program

Legal Education in the Community: The Rights and Responsibilities of the Family Home is a community-based education program targeting adult learners about the legal rights and responsibilities of home ownership. The program is conducted by the Bluhm Legal Clinic at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in conjunction with the Chicago chapter of the Federal Bar Association. The program seeks to inform and empower present and future homeowners in Cook County by teaching rights and responsibilities associated with home ownership, thereby serving as a proactive, preventive measure against scams and fraudulent schemes in vulnerable neighborhoods.
